Associate Membership may be granted to applicants employed by police agencies in the province or who are involved in a restricted sphere of law enforcement and whose membership would contribute to the objectives of the Association.

For greater certainty this includes:

  • The senior person responsible for security in British Columbia for financial institutions of the Bank Act.
  • One security representative banks that carry on business in British Columbia.
  • Senior officials of the government of Canada and British Columbia and of Crown Corporations of Canada and British Columbia who have a significant role in law enforcement.
  • Police officers employed by police agencies in the province who do not otherwise qualify to be Active Members;
  • Civilian professionals employed by police agencies in the province who do not otherwise qualify to be Active Members; but
  • Does not include persons in a restricted sphere of law enforcement, which is primarily commercial in nature.
