Mission Statement
The BC Association of Chiefs of Police’s mission is to:
- Serve as the leading voice for all 9,250+ sworn police officers in the province.
- Leverage research and evidence-based best practices to advocate for impactful policy initiatives.
- Find solutions to mitigate key issues and address hot-button topics in policing.
- Advocate to government and key stakeholders for necessary funding and support.
- Promote collaboration and uniformity in police practices by working with government and stakeholders to drive positive change.
- Provide enhanced training programs and resources to support members.
- Increase funding capacity to create bursaries and additional training opportunities.
- Host three professionally organized, topical, and informative conferences annually.
- Enhance networking opportunities and conference structures to establish leadership in policing across the country.
- Effectively communicate problems and concerns to the appropriate levels of authority.
